I love this country. I am a history geek and a political junkie. Anyone who thinks I enjoy pointing out every ill or poorly advised, moronic, illegal, unethical, immoral and dangerous thing that the Donald Trump White House has done in their first 3 weeks, couldn’t be more wrong.
Whether I think the man occupying the Oval Office is a buffoon or not, he is The President of The United States, and he swore an Oath to Uphold the Laws and Constitution of the United States of America. He isn’t doing that so far and it is the right and obligation of every American to demand that he do as he has sworn to do. He owes at least that to you, me, and everyone in these United States.
It breaks my heart to see the country I love brought down in reputation and esteem and to be a laughingstock in the world’s media.

We have become an international punchline because one man with a monumental ego, the people he has surrounded himself with in the White House, and one party are on a giddy path of deploying vengeful racist, sexist, immoral, and unethical policies, actions and behaviors toward their peers and the populace that hasn’t been seen in my lifetime.
- United States Office of Government Ethics (Preventing Conflicts of Interest in the Executive Branch) website, phones, email, and twitter feed have been overloaded with traffic (website crashed today) due to the plethora of Trump family conflicts of interest including, but not limited to: Donald Trump not divesting entirely from his business empire, Trump Hotel Washington, D.C., Eric Trump traveling to Uruguay on Trump family business costing taxpayers $100,000, Ivanka Trump not divesting from her business interests yet sits in on White House business, and Donald Trump and KellyAnne Conway both attacking Nordstrom and other companies for dropping Ivanka Trump’s clothing line. The President tweeted from his personal and presidential Twitter accounts direct attacks on Nordstrom and, KellyAnne Conway gave an on air directive to viewers, “Go buy Ivanka’s stuff is what I would say,” Ms. Conway, whose title is counselor to the president, said in an interview with Fox News. “I’m going to give a free commercial here: Go buy it today everybody, you can find it online.”
- Lies, Alternative Facts, etc: From ordering the National Parks Service to edit a photo to make Inauguration crowds look bigger, KellyAnne Conway using the phrase “Alternative Facts” when responding to questions about Press Secretary Sean Spicer blatantly lying at his first press briefing, to KellyAnne making up the “Bowling Green Massacre”, the Trump White House started this administration with lies and they aren’t deviating from that course. The media is over it and are finally fighting back.
- More than 50 Federal Lawsuits have been filed against President Trump since Inauguration: As of February 1, 2017 (8 days ago) Trump had been named personally in 52 Federal Lawsuits in 17 states as compared to 3 for Obama, 4 for Clinton and George W. Bush during the same 11 day period. The highest profile case is the case brought against Trump’s so called “Muslim Ban” Executive Order restricting immigration from 7 mostly Muslim countries that is pending appeal in the 9th Circuit in San Francisco, with a decision due today. UPDATE: A three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously Thursday afternoon to deny the Trump administration’s request for an emergency stay of a restraining order issued last Friday by a federal judge in Washington State. Trump who has already stated his disdain for the judiciary, will not take this loss well. No doubt he has already given orders to prepare the case for appeal to the Supreme Court.
- By Trump’s side day and night sits Steve Bannon, a man who should be nowhere near the heart of the nation: accused domestic abuser, Satan worshipper,
Islamaphobe, and white supremacist. Bannon exerts a Svengali, Rasputin like, puppeteer pulling the strings power over Trump. He stands beside the desk advising Trump to push the evil agenda out as fast as possible so Americans don’t have time to digest all that is being passed. This includes having himself placed on the National Security Council, and ghost-writing Executive Orders weakening Obamacare, beefing up immigration enforcement, freezing federal hiring, as well as preventing refugees and visa-holders from several Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S..
That’s just a few things in the first 3 weeks folks…Hmmm
